RESOLUTION 5

We are proud to present the new Funktion One Resolution 5 system which represents a significant development of previous work by Tony Andrews and his team. Tony's consistent and focused development of low distortion spherical array systems has now culminated in what we believe to be the finest and smallest large-scale sound system available. In a world where research efforts have focussed on line array systems which, in our opinion are limited in application, the Resolution 5 system offers a meaningful alternative with enormous flexibility in use .


  • The system is 'people friendly' with stunning aesthetics and unprecedented sound quality.

  • The Resolution 5 is incredibly efficient requiring up to 10dB less drive level than previous designs to achieve the same level.

  • A Resolution 5 system uses at least 25% less enclosures than previous designs to achieve the same coverage with greater SPL.

  • The Resolution 5 has a highly controlled dispersion pattern of 25° horizontal by 20° vertical for almost seemless array implementation and the enormous high frequency headroom facilitates its long-range application..

  • Resolution 5s can be used in surprisingly small quantities for smaller spaces and this maximises rental use from a system predominantly thought of as a solution to arena or stadium shows

  • Revolutionary Flying System (Patent Pending) makes the system extremely fast and easy to fly. With Resolution, there is no need for separate flying trunks or losable parts such as chains, links, pins or tools, as all inter-cabinet flying hardware is completely built into the enclosure. Furthermore, the flying system is very useful when the enclosures are ground-stacked, enabling angle optimisation

  • The system truck packs superbly requiring less transport expense.

  • The enclosure weight is minimised with Neodymium magnets on all drivers.

  • A highly effective wheel-board completes the packaging offering full touring protection for the front of the Resolution 5 and also makes transport a dream.

  • Should a discrete appearance be required we provide an optional fine cloth scrim grill that has been selected for its maximum acoustic transparency.
