The first production line versions of Funktion-One's new cabinet, the Resolution One, have been installed into two clubs in Melbourne. The systems were commissioned by installation contractor Centre Stage Australia, and represent the first of a number of system upgrades planned for the inner city area. The Red Eagle Hotel in Port Melbourne has two rooms with the new system. The front bar is a live band venue, incorporating a single Res 1 flown either side if the stage and a single 212 Minibass installed under the seating. The system is powered by T series MC2 Audio amplifiers, with BSS soundweb providing the control and routing of audio to the whole venue. The second room is the Red Lounge, a DJ venue for about 150 people. Again a single Res 1 is flown either side of the room with a Minibass in the centre. The second venue with a Funktion-One makeover is the Star Bar. The upstairs room is a dedicated DJ venue with four Res 1 flown in each corner of the room and two F118 single 18 inch bass speaker (one at either end of the room). The system is powered by T series MC2 Audio amplifiers with BSS soundweb providing the control and routing. The manager of the bar commented: 'if all DJ systems worked like that, DJ's wouldn't drive their mixers into the red.'
