Labyrinth Festival - Japan - Summer 2007 |
|
This year's Labyrinth Festival, in Japan, heard great results with the Funktion-One system they used. A festival where the spiritualistic and mystical sides of music and sound still hold strong, it seemed that a Funktion-One system felt no more at home than here. The "Labyrinth is a strictly limited presale tickets only event, and sold out immediately, part of the reason for that is surely the sound" said one organiser. The bass was physical and the sound was "ridiculusly crisp" [Resident Advisor; review]. Organisers of the festival were also very impressed saying they "did not have the slightest [bit of] listening fatigue by the final day", "The sound was open, clear, and friendly" and "The event itself was a big success--all smiles and sun." The stage which played many genres of modern dance music had 10 x F218, 4 x Infrabass, 2 x double horns and 8 x Resolution 5s (flying) either side of the stage. Many are looking forward to next year's festival, where the recently introduced F221 bass will be used. It is sure to be another great success. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7NUg4zW7SU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80P_TYOzCrA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LU9rMsubnT4
